I. The Three Numbers

Three screens, three numbers

Every rally is decided by three figures pulled from three different places in the game. Find each one, learn what it controls, and the rally screen total stops being a mystery.

Rally Capacity

Tap your Command Center to read it. This is the size of the joiner pool: it does not include your own march, only the slots your allies will fill.

Your own max march, shown next to the troop bar when you open a target. It is the size you contribute when you call the rally - independent of the joiner pool above.

Team Total

What the rally screen calls Team is just the two numbers added together. The "1 / 15" up top means one slot used (the leader) - 14 joiner slots left.

II. The Math

How the rally screen adds up

The "Team" number you see when joining a rally is just the leader's march plus the room they have reserved for joiners. Once you split that joiner pool by the number of allies who show up, you know exactly how big each person should march.

The joiner split
Rally Capacity÷joiners=Joiner march size
A rally has 14 joiner slots beside the leader. Divide the leader's Rally Capacity by however many joiners are actually coordinating, up to 14.

At 14 joiners that math fills the pool exactly. With fewer joiners, each one sends more - so the slots that are filled still use the whole pool.
III. The Tool

Plan your bear hunt

Drop in your rally leaders' capacities and how many allies will be online. The calculator averages the leaders so anyone can call, then splits the pool by the players showing up.

Recommended

Safe
65,500
Guarantees a fit on the smallest leader.
Each joiner can set their march to the recommended size. If a leader with a smaller-than-average pool ends up calling, use the safe size so all 14 still fit.
Joiners14
Average rally capacity917,000
Lowest rally capacity917,000
Recommended vs Safe. Recommended uses the leaders' average pool: a number that works well across the group on most calls. Safe uses the smallest leader's pool: a slightly lower number that guarantees all 14 joiners fit no matter who ends up calling. With a single leader (or matched capacities) the two values are identical.

Why cap at 14 joiners? A rally only has 14 joiner slots. Beyond fourteen the math stops changing - the first fourteen to tap fill the rally, and any extra allies start the next call.
